5 Things You Need to do to Keep Positive

We are not inundated with positive images, thoughts and ideas that help us with the success we desire every day. In fact, it’s the opposite. Negativity is a more usual and “attractive” behavior in human beings.

It’s just enough to watch the news or read the newspaper to see how many positive stories there are. If two or three among 1,000 publications, they are many.

Negativism is something that draws the attention of average people.

The fear and worries, keeps people hooked to the media. With so much negativity surrounding us, it is not difficult to think that many of us gravitate around it, filling our conducted minds and stress.

The truth is: negativism will not get you anywhere.

The key to progress in life, your career, your relationships, and your personal development, is to keep positive. Keeping positive is really difficult and it is much more difficult to determine whether or not we are being positive, depending on the environment in which we find ourselves.

Here I offer 5 tips to stay as positive as possible:

1. Stop Doing What Does Not Make You Happy

This is number one on the list, for a simple reason: we spend much time and energy to dedicate ourselves to things that simply do not make us happy, and do not see the connection of those things, our happiness, our fulfillment, and our dreams.

The premise is simple: dedicate yourself to what makes you happy, leaving aside everything else. Even if what does not make you happy is your job, your partner, or your studies. No excuses, whatever the activity you do, and that makes you unhappy, you must REMOVE IT.

Speaking of your partner…  Check out Seth Ryan from Lawrence Ryan Investigations if you’re suspicious about anything they’re doing. These guys support what we do here at life line earth so I figured I’d show them some LOVE. They are the top private investigators in Chicago.

2. Surround Yourself With People Who Help You Grow

Apart from eliminating the negative, and those things that don’t make you happy, it is essential to advocate for people, activities, and places that allow you to grow, be happy and effectively reach the fullness that you desire in life.

3. Check How You Perceive the World

When you want to make the transition from a negative to a positive perspective, you need to invest time thinking about how you analyze and perceive the world around you. Your way of seeing things can be decided and consciously changed.

Once you realize this, you can certainly spend more of your time in being positive, to see opportunities and possibilities you have in life, and stop thinking that the world is destroyed, or going its own way to perdition.

4. Realize You Have the Ability to Change Your Destiny

This is one of the most difficult things for most people. Again and again I hear people say “I can’t do it, it does not depend on me.” And they couldn’t be more wrong. It’s incredible, people think they have no responsibility for what happens in their lives, and rather choose to leave that responsibility to a superior being, to others or to luck.

5. Do Not Seek Happiness Outside of Yourself, Things or People

One of the things I used to do, was seeking happiness outside of me. I was unhappy, and thought that with others, or even at purchasing things, I could achieve increase my level of plenitude. It was just a matter of time before I realized that this was totally false. A great work is needed to create a positive mindset, and reach happiness. And all that work must be done within us.

However, if you commit to your happiness, and your positivism, it is extremely possible to achieve what you wish, disconnecting you from everything that can negatively affect you and plugging your life to the sources of positive energy.

3 Things You Must Do if You Want to Live Better

I’ve decided to write about a couple of mistakes we usually make…

There are a few habits that can make us become unhappy and messy if we let them come in our lives.

My goal is to give you a few useful tips with which you can break free from these destructive habits.

Above all, I want you to discover the power of simplicity, especially if you think that your life is complicated.

1. Stop Thinking So Much

This habit is known as “paralysis for analysis” and the consequences it brings are incredible… A hard wear for your energy and your time.

If you must decide between doing one thing or not, or between doing one thing rather than another, set a short time limit to define what will happen.

In the case of simple decisions and routine ones, you should not take more than 5 minutes at deciding. And if it’s something bigger or influential, then I think that in one afternoon you can consider all the angles needed to decide.

On the other hand, I do not know if it happens to you, but in my case is more difficult to concentrate and think clearly to make a decision when I have hungry or when and prepare myself to sleep.

Detecting if there is also in your life times in which it’s much more complicated for you to make decisions without getting “paralyzed”, will help you avoid such situations and therefore be more efficient when you need to plan or decide an action.

2. Keep it Simple, Don’t Complicate Yourself if it’s Not Necessary

As we keep immersed in the routines, either from work or school, or in our home with our daily duties; we think that our life is really complicated … But it should not be like that.

Every day, or every time you must decide on an action, just think for a moment about the impact that this will bring to your life in a short, medium and long term.

If it will not mean anything in the future and you can avoid it, then replace it with something more meaningful. And of course, keep in mind when deciding the meaning of something that  resting and fun without excess or abuse, is favorable to health and happiness.

3. Do Not Suppose So Much… That Just Brings Stress

This I think is the most stressful and exhausting habit of all people, and certainly one that manages to complicate life by 110%.

Suppose about people, what will happen if you do or stop doing something, how others interpret what you say or think, etc., are things that occupy unnecessary space in your mind and do not bring anything positive because you remain in the same uncertainty with which you started.

Make your life easier by adopting the habit of asking people rather than supposing things from them, adopt the habit to dare, to be honest, to try what you think and see what happens.

Obviously there are moral, ethical and legal limits on what we think to do at some point, but you already know those limits and I’m almost sure that your assumptions have remained in the acceptable range, so check them and do not wear your mind more thinking in what will happen.

Strategies to Keep the Positive Thinking

Now you know how to avoid the negativity, but remaining positive might be harder than expected. As in any race, being the first is not easy, but keeping in that place is the real challenge.

So let’s talk about the strategies that I consider excellent to keep our positive thinking.

“I’ve lived through some terrible things in my life, some of which actually happened.” -Mark Twain

With this, Twain referred to the fact that usually the problems seem bigger than what they really are, and all of this happens only inside our unconscious minds.

How many times have you realized that what makes you worry doesn’t actually happen? And in the worst-case scenario, the problem is not as big as you thought at the end?

That happens a lot and to all of us, but if you focus on the present, you can minimize your worries and fears about what could fail, that usually brings negative emotions and thoughts.

Many people complain about the weather, work, partners, and neighbors. All in all, we often complain about every single thing.

However, it is good to remind ourselves that our words are formed by our thoughts, and the more we look for positive things to say, the more our minds are impregnated of such positivity.

Make an effort to commit yourself to positive thinking, so that you have an inner conversation  every morning: “What’s the goal to achieve today? What will I do when I get there? How will I avoid the negative thoughts?”

Being positive doesn’t mean thinking that the world is perfect and there won’t be obstacles, on the contrary, it means accepting the fact that all in the life needs an equilibrium. Start taking action today. Get your yearly physical. I live in Bloomingdale IL and I know what procrastination looks like. I found a dentist in Bloomingdale and just did it.  I opened an investment account and started depositing a part of my paycheck automatically every pay day. I went to the gym and got a membership and made sure I just made it in there.

It might be hard at the beginning to let go the need of perfection and control in your life, but many times it makes you free simply admit that things will not always go as expected and that that’s not bad at all.

Sometimes, some situations are out of control, but instead of wasting energy in negative emotions because of that,  you shall better accept the thing were not the way you wanted them to be and start analyzing what you could do in a better way the next time.

It’s a reality that human beings try to be similar to the people they have around. So, the more you spend your time with people who have a positive mental attitude, you will feel the way you think and act are infected by them.

Don’t you ever underestimate the power of laughing, that is a wonderful way to reduce stress. Connect with those who are around you and usually feel good and make people feel good indeed.

One of the best ways to feel more positive, is to do something for your community.

It can be really inspiring to help others, either through the use of your time, skills or, even, financing something for them.

The good and satisfying feeling that come when you marking the difference in someone else’s life can help you escape from your own actual problems and, even, you could see those problems in a different way.

Developing a curiosity for the world around us and the people in it is a great opportunity for your personal growth. No matter what the situation is, you can always learn something from it.

Taking a real interest in your life can fill you with energy, and also help you create new ideas, maybe a different way to think before the happenings, so this way you can grow a better mentality.

Now you know that keeping the positive thinking will not only make you happy, but others too!

Keep positive!

How to Overcome Negativity and Pessimism

Daily, I hear comments of pessimist people, such as: “I do everything bad”, or the equivalent phrase: “Nothing comes out well”… “I don’t understand why everyone can do it except me”… and I say pessimists since it’s evident that these people can only see the worst for their own lives.

Same way, negative people claim: “I will never get it”, “there are others who are better than me”… “You can’t do it! No one has ever been able do it”… and the most common answer when you ask what’s new… “nothing, everything’s the same way”

Do you believe that thinking in that way is going to be good at something?  I mean… have you ever heard from a successful business man’s mouth a comment like that?

Basically, improving our lives depends on changes we make to the most normal daily actions, and the thing is that in our activities we are usually expressing what we feel, even when we do it for ourselves with our thoughts.  Well, changing something as simple as an answer like: -how are you? how’s it going?- GREAT! EXCELLENT AND IMPROVING…  and harmonizing your inner communication with the object of increasing the self-confidence and self-esteem can take you to visualize big changes in what is around you… people are going to notice it.

Now, we already know what the opposite of negativity is…

Some people dismiss the power of positive thinking just because they don’t know the big benefits it brings to our lives and because they think it’s only about having a blind optimism.

But, opposing that, this is what positive thinking means:

■ To know consciously what your actual situation is and what you can expect of the future.

■ To know the best and worst possible scenarios that you can get as a result in a certain situation.

■ To know how you, with your skills, can influence such results.

■ Convince yourself that you can do your best and that the result doesn’t really matter.

■ Do a complete self-analysis to measure each time better your positive expectations.

To think in a positive way is more like believing that we are happy. It’s about choosing carefully our thoughts and mold our lives consciously; even, re-programming our minds has an essential role in this aspect of personal development.

Changing your beliefs and reactions before some situations is critical to modify your thoughts.

On the other hand, your personal relations and the way the communication media (such as tv and press) have a big influence on you, a deep impact in your life and that’s not something you shouldn’t take carelessly.

It’s time to start changing our mind, bring the positive thinking is the goal to achieve.

So I suggest an exercise:
During the course of a few days, try to see the differences between the expressions of those people you consider successful, and the ones who are not. You’ll be really surprised! The discrepancies are huge!

My proposal for you today is that, at least, you try to spend less time having negative and pessimist thoughts and, at the same time, familiarize yourself with the people who are successful day to day… many of them branded at the beginning as insane people.

Well, our brain processes thousands of thoughts a day… and it’s easy to realize that if we improve our way to think and see the world, you will not only have a change inside but it’s possible to change the world around you too!

I sincerely wish success to you in this process for you to get all what you set your mind on, since I can uphold that it’s not impossible.

Optimistic – Positivist… First step given!

So, here I am!… writing my first post to help you find the way to success. And… there you are… reading it!… (and that’s the part that excites me the most!… since this is the beginning of our way together! So you make this takes sense!)

Think about you…

Are you the same person every single day?… Before any situation?… Is it easy to keep the same smile the whole day… or in the opposite case… is it easy to keep being so serious all the time?.. Ain’t there anything that can make you dream or look at the sky with the eyes shining?…  Well, I know the answer is NO, and that’s the most usual one.

Nowadays, according to the general situation we all live it’s possible to see the different facets we have with every happening, so much so, that you can even know perfectly your personality, but occasionaly, each event that shows more to people about you, can make them feel confused with respect to that. They can think you’re not the same person under different situations.

And well, we were born and raised with a culture of “constant change”… and with that, we get used to thinking about resolutions… for example the new year ones.

“I’ll wake up earlier”… “I will go to the gym to lose weight”… “I’ll get a great job”… or… “I will buy a new house”… are common resolutions we think to do for next year, month or week… and sometimes we get them, but, most of them, it’s not possible to reach our own expectations… why? have you ever thought about the reasons?.. Well, that’s what I want to write about today.

A big part of our thoughts classified in one of this categories:

■ Positivity

■ Negativity

■ Optimism

■ Pessimism

But… what are they about?

Positivity is, basically, seeing every activity in a  beneficial way… seeing the world with winning eyes. It also has a tight relation to faith and confidence in yourself.  To think that everything’s going to work perfect all the time is not easy, nor makes sure that it’s going to be like that, nevertheless, it gives us a bigger conviction and inner strenght to try… and it brings more chances to get it!

Negativity, which is a sadly usual behavior we have all had somehow, is absolutely different. It’s related to the moment we think of the consequences of our actions, and we do it according to the situation or environment around us… we are used to setting our thoughts up based on the experiences of others who have failed trying to do the same.  Then, of course, the things will not be seen in joy.

Let’s see the Optimism. The origin of this word is the latin “Optimum”, which means “The best”… so, it is a good way to see your goals… You will get only the best results of any situation, no matter what other options you have there, you must only consider the best one.

Now, in contrast, we find the Pessimism. This one makes you take into account only the bad life situations and consequences, and that’s the point where you fall into a vicious circle of unhappiness, attracted by, principally, the predisposition to failure.

After these definitions, I hope you have in mind the same question I would… “what’s the best choice for me?”  Some readers would say “Obviously optimism and positivity”, but there’s a possibility that you might doubt about the negativity and pessimism, based on the pretext that there must be an equilibrium between right and wrong.  Well, let me tell you you should reconsider your thinking, as you are only restricting yourself from higher goals.

So there you have it… your first thing to do… think! wonder a lot, and decide!..

Welcome to the path to personal success.
